The quickest ways to Attract Visitors to your Website are easy and can be put into action quickly.

Oddly enough, the easiest methods of drawing visitors to your site can also have the quickest effect. Other powerful ways of attracting visitors, like SEO (Search Engine Optimization), are dependent on the search engines indexing your content and then having your website be found in search engine results pages (SERPs). But using these approaches can get your site noticed much more quickly.

Obvious question: Should I still use SEO and other longer-strategy techniques that could take several months before their effects are seen?

Answer:
You bet! - Using a long-term view of how to improve your site's findability and visibility is still an excellent strategy. However, you should use other quickly implemented methods to try to get your site noticed in the meantime.



Here's what you can do right away:

Quickest Ways to Attract Visitors to your Website



Social Networking


  • Twitter: 140 character microblog and send at least one "tweet" (post/message) daily.


  • Facebook: Build profile and visit twice a week.


  • LinkedIn: Build profile and visit at least once a week.




Social Media


  • Blog: Create a simple blog (web log or journal) and post to it:


    • At least Once per week, or 


    • Better: A couple times a week, or 


    • Best: Daily.


      • Blogger is one of the quickest/easiest to start and you can be up and going in 10 minutes.


  • YouTube/viral videos: Create a YouTube Channel and post videos to it linking back to your site.

Set up your Twitter profile:
  • Quick Bio set-up: Just put everything "About yourself in fewer than 160 chars."


    • Note: You might want to do your LinkedIn and/or Facebook profiles first and then boil it all down to the bare essentials.


    • Tip: Look at the Bios of others you know on Twitter and respect and see what their bios say.

  • Your Website(s) and Blog(s).


  • Upload your Photo/headshot.
