We invite you to watch our 90-second video called "TheSolutionMovie.com". This "viral video" is only a video...until you forward it. Once forwarded, it becomes viral.
We hope you enjoy this short movie which graphically shows exactly how IncreaseOnlineProfits.com can help anyone with a website, blog, or podcast.
And if you're stuck re: ideas of who to forward it to, just try to think of any authors, bloggers, entrepreneurs, job-seekers, speakers, or website-owners who'd like to achieve greater success.
In the near future we'll be posting articles on the IOP site which show how you can make (or have made) a movie like this for your site too.
Tip of the Week
I came across some research that Stanford University did in 2002, but the results still hold true
today. After 3 years of research that included over 4500 people, they created the Stanford Guidelines for Web Credibility.
The researchers found that 47% of users make buy decisions based solely on the professionalism of the site appearance. Remember, your website represents a learning challenge for each new visitor. They compare your website to the 1,000s of other websites they've visited and look for recognizable navigation elements and links. This is why we stress that you don't want to reinvent the wheel, design-wise, you'll only confuse your visitors.
Here are the 10 guidelines they listed and if you go to the link above, you'll find further explanations of each guideline:
- Make it easy to verify the accuracy of the information on your site.
- Show that there's a real organization behind your site.
- Highlight the expertise in your organization and in the content and services you provide.
- Show that honest and trustworthy people stand behind your site.
- Make it easy to contact you.
- Design your site so it looks professional (or is appropriate for your purpose).
- Make your site easy to use - and useful.
- Update your site's content often (at least show it's been reviewed recently).
- Use restraint with any promotional content (e.g., ads, offers).
- Avoid errors of all types, no matter how small they seem.
These guidelines are fairly easy to implement and will most likely make a noticeable difference in your conversions.
As we stress at IOP, it's all about looking at your website and your marketing efforts from your user's point of view.
