Tip of the Week- How to Find Pictures worth a thousand words
We've all heard the saying "A picture's worth a thousand words." Since our blog post this week is on "The Power of Stories in Internet Marketing" we thought you might like to have a great way to find photos which can help you think of stories (or articles, or other content).
There's a fantastic browser add-in called Cooliris which shows photos & images you find on a lush 3D wall. All you have to do to see the power of possibilities for generating ideas (and stories and thousands of words) is download/install Cooliris, do a Google image search on almost any word or topic, and then view the results in Cooliris.
To do this:
1) First go to Cooliris's website and download and install the Cooliris add-in for your browser
(Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome).
- Note: If you don't see the "Download" button then it may mean that Cooliris is already installed, but you can also get it at CNet's Download.com website.
2) Once Cooliris is installed then go to Google Images and do a search for any word/topic/subject, e.g., "storytelling" without the quotes.
3) Then hover your mouse/cursor over any of the images and the Cooliris logo should appear. Click the logo and "Voila!" you should see the 3D wall (example graphic).
4) Now click on any of the photos/images in Cooliris to view them at a larger size. Also, you can drag Cooliris' scroll bar at the bottom to view more photos to the right or left on the wall.
5) Now for the fun part: Let your imagination go and start generating ideas and plenty of words which you can turn into stories, articles, etc.
