Tip of the Week- Google search changes & Facebook Privacy revisited
Google search changes
Recently Google changed its search options by inserting a column on the left-side of the search results.
Once you do a Google search a number of options/features are shown in the left-column which you can use to customize/personalize search results to find what you're seeking quicker/better.
Previously these features were only available after clicking the "Show Options" link, but now you can see/access them easily from the menu options on the left.
Some of the major options available are:
- Images &Videos
- Updates (like Twitter)
- Latest (with some Twitter updates)
- Nearby
- Related searches
- Wonder wheel (great for Keyword research!)
- Timeline
- Page previews

Facebook Privacy - revisited
Facebook's been busy changing its privacy settings again (yikes!) and there's even more for you to be concerned about if you don't want the world to know about everything you do.
So if you don't want "Everyone" seeing what you're saying, doing, and showing (photos/videos) then you should take a quick look at these slides at PC Magazine:
